Second key in hand

Second key in hand

So, I actually didn't bring the lock with me. (Doh! Sorry, it's Friday.) I debated making this post until I get to test it, but decided to just post now anyways. I'll post again tonight.

I just got the key Nola Circuit  found and sent!

I can say just by looking at it, I'd be real surprised if this didn't work. The lock is older (duh!) so it really just needs the little inside stuff to move, and its an easy to remember "teeth" pattern. Also, I never released this detail but there is a hole in the cylinder so the key can fit the guide rod, and this key has that.

This key has certainly been used TONS LESS than the other one, judging from the teeth wear.

  2. Is there a engraving on the side of the key?

  3. Ryan Ratliff not that can be seen with the naked eye. I doubt it (but of course anythings possible.)

  4. Since both keys open the lock and since the box was left unattended where the key was found, we must consider the possibility that the contents of the box were stolen and replaced with a fake.

  5. I'm curious as to why this one isn't as worn. Maybe it's a spare key, but why then was it dropped? I'm wonder what the significance of this second key is.

  6. Ishira Tsubasa I've seen now a handful of theories. The part I personally just can't get past is - how would someone be both someone who would have such a valuable item, AND someone who would "lose" it... Seems like it can't be an accident to me.

  7. I don't believe it was. I think it was purposefully left but for what reason? And why wasn't it mentioned before that there were two keys? Theres something off about this. If another person had it, why would they keep quiet about it?

  8. Not that I would want to ruin the story... but it could have been just what it appears.... a spare in case the one from Bologna met with misfortune on its way here..... the mystery does fit so much better with the series though

  9. Matt Stevenson once the key was used once, and the object in the box was stolen, the box, the fake replacement artifact, the lock and all keys are worthless.
